| Twilighter Letter to Set-stalker- what’s your opinion? | ||

From Live Journal writer Moku613: Weigh in on your thoughts! An Open Letter to Set-Stalkers I’m not trying to start a riot here and I’m not standing on a soap box. I just wanted to get this thought out there as Eclipse starts easing into principle photography. Many are salivating at the thought that Eclipse has started shooting. I confess I’m excited too. However I’m not excited with the prospect of entitled fans coming out of the woodworks to set crash for that one special glimpse of their favorite character come to life, or for that one signature, or for that one obliging photo from a member of the cast who’s on their 18th hour of work yet allows the shot to be taken for fear they wake up tomorrow the most hated man/woman in the Twilight community for not taking the time to pose for said shot that will inevitably be blasted on every LJ and twitter page. Film sets are a business. Actors are at work. Everytime anyone, and I don’t care who you are, show up anywhere near the set it creates a disruption. A disruption that costs money. Most of the people that will have to deal with you are wasting valuable time. They are probably even upset that they, as indepedant contractors, got hired to be a part of a blockbuster film set, yet have no time to enjoy the experience because they have to deal with you and your sharpie and copy of New Moon. People tend to forget that working as a PA or a grip or whatever is on a film by film basis. They can go months without another gig. These people don’t want to be selected as a hall monitor for the “fans” when they could be doing something much more important. And the actors? While I’m sure immensly flattered that fans care enough to stand hours upon hours outside a barn to see them, they too need rest. Currently there are 20 paps marking their every move. They don’t need you there too no matter how flattering it may seem to you. Remember this. The finished product is for you, made for you to enjoy. The process is not. Respect the cast, respect the crew, and respect the film process. I urge people to refrain from stalking sets, coercing PA’s for info, twittering locations, twittering scenes, etc. The actors, directors, etc. are working. Let them work in peace. Thanks for listening.

Laura from His Crooked Smiles caught up with Rob yesterday who smiled at her. Here’s a snippet- go to Radar Online for more and for the video! When the cameras weren’t on him, Rob just seemed to be looking down at his feet, and concentrating (maybe on tuning everybody out – I wonder whether he’s speculated at taking the London stage role because he’s so used to acting with a large immediate audience) and, of course, doing everyone’s favourite hands-through-the-hair move *swoon* I kept expecting him to light up too but where’s a guy in NYC going to have a smoke?! I did feel bad for Rob with all the attention – it must make it hard to concentrate – but when he walked past again later and looked up and smiled, it was definitely a genuine smile not a “yeah, thanks – whatevs”… or maybe he just heard my British accent |

I heart the website Letters to Rob, but this is. scary. These girlies writing notes and sticking them on Rob’s car… wow. These could be my daughter, and srsly, I have more of a shot with Taylor *jailbait* than any of these chickies do with Rob. Go to BauerGriffin for all the pics! |
| Behind the scenes deets from Vancouver filming *spoiler* | ||
The Canadian News team at the Metro has some behind-the scenes deets from the Vancouver set of New Moon. The first of a five part series, a snippet reads: As the extras disperse and pretend to be heading toward the makeshift school building, Kristen Stewart, reprising her role as Bella, is greeted by her four best friends singing her happy birthday as she gets out of her truck. “Cut! Let’s do it again!” yells Weitz. After shooting the scene three times, the director asks for one more, “just for safety.” And it’s in the can. The enormous crew huddles around, preparing for the next sequence. Ready? Action! Jacob fastens a necklace on Bella. “It catches bad dreams,” he tells her. But Bella only dreams of Edward, played by Robert Pattinson. The British actor is leaning nearby on a car, a figment of Bella’s imagination. She is continually haunted by memories of this impossible love. As the cameras roll for the third take, Lautner forgets his lines. “Sorry, I’m totally lost,” he laughs. “Cut, reset!” orders Weitz. The cast had a 5 a.m. wake-up call. Lautner outdoes himself in the fourth take. “That was my favourite!” enthuses the director.

One of the best Vancouver set-stalkers, entertainment journalist Newsflic, is setting up Twilight tours of Vancouver- a MUST see if you’ll be out that way: New Moon filming took place in a number of different locations and communities around the Lower Mainland and Vancouver during the day and night and under extreme security and secrecy.
I was fortunate enough to have found a vast majority of these locations and am putting together a Twilight Tour for Twilight Fans.
Highlights of the tour will include, the Cullen house, the Swan house, Forks High School, Jacob Black’s house, the forest where the Werewolves run and many more interesting sights. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Gd_JeOOgKA&hl=en&fs=1] The tour will be filled with interesting New Moon facts, fun trivia, stories about filming and the first account of being there while filming to share all the details and answer questions. I have a couple of other Twilight Major Fans on board as well so it will be a great experience for everyone. You can contact me on my email at newsflic@gmail.com if you are interested. |

| Motorcycle scenes- the last night of VanCity shooting. Kristen Stewart rocks her own stunts! | ||
VanCityAllie comes through AGAIN for Twilighters, and she also laments that last night was the last night of shooting in Vancouver: The Bella Motorcycle Mystery (Twilight New Moon) from VancityAllie on Vimeo. From VanCityAllie: My best guess? They changed the movie a bit so that Bella does something rash to see Edward’s apparition… she rides on a motorcycle with one of the gang members. Check it out for yourself. In the last cut, you can hear her say “Stop! Stop!” as part of her lines for that scene. She decides to go on a joyride with one of the gang members to try to upset Edward into appearing in her head again. Only in this particular movie scene, they actually filmed Rob Pattinson standing right beside Kristen Stewart telling her not to go, with Kristen standing and talking to the gang member beside his bike. (I’m sure they’ll make him an apparition in post-production editing) And let me just say this — Kristen Stewart is one HECK of a cool chica. She did ALL her stunts tonight, at least the ones that I saw. Props for braving it out in the cold Vancouver night on a motorcycle all evening. Major Kudos, Kristen! Kristen walking with the gang member (not rolling)… I wonder if they kept the same guy as in the first movie? Anyone recognize him? Or is he a stunt person as well as an actor? |

I arrived on set around 7:30 and they were still setting up. They had to wait for darkness before they could start production. The scene was at the movie theatre. Kristen and Jacob are there and some of Jacobs friends. There were about twenty five back-ground performers. The set was bustling with action and movement. Everyone had a job to do and everyone was doing their job.
