With competition strong and varied on who to buy your New Moon DVD from, Target has decided to entice you further by releasing one of the deleted scenes that will be featured on their version of the DVD.  We never did see where the motorcycles came from that Bella showed up at Jacob’s house with…well, now we know!!!

Wal-Mart announced this morning that their offering of the New Moon DVD will include a special sneek peak of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!!!! 

There are an array of DVD offerings coming to us in March for New Moon, this is latest attempt at turning your wallets toward this retailer!  Per Wal-Mart:

Ultimate fans of Twilight have a reason to howl with excitement: a sneak peek at The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Walmart announced today it will be the only retailer to carry The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition on standard DVD, and Blu-ray, with never-before-seen footage from the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Walmart also will feature “Twilight Saga Shops” in stores – a dedicated shopping experience for Twilight fans to bite into a variety of Twilight -themed clothing, jewelry, and merchandise, including new items to show their wolf- or vampire-fan pride.

Fans can pre-order The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition on DVD or Blu-ray, as well as the national two-disc Special Edition DVD or Special Edition Blu-ray, today at Walmart.com. With the new movie and 50 minutes of extra footage and interviews, The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition also contains an exclusive, 7-minute sneak peek of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. It begins with an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the production of the newest film. New interviews with stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, as well as with series-creator Stephenie Meyer, are integrated with revealing on-the-set footage of some of the key scenes and sets from the upcoming movie. This first-look at The Twilight Saga: Eclipse concludes with the world premiere of an actual scene from the upcoming film.

With the movie release scheduled for March 20, 12:01 am, fans can be among the first to own the DVD, joining friends nationwide at midnight release events in more than 2,600 24-hour Walmart stores. Yikes…decisions decisions!  Thus far, Target was offering the best/most with a 3 disc DVD special edition, but 7 minutes of Eclipse footage just may…well…eclipse the competition!  What DVD are you going to get?  Has anyone heard of one that will offer a digital copy?  I have Twilight on my iPod at all times because Target’s 3 disc special edition of Twilight offered a digital copy!

Twilight Examiner, Amanda Bell, reported this morning that Hurricane Bells has released their video for Monsters featured on the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack.  When I read that, I got all excited thinking was about to see Edward Cullen strutting through the school parking lot toward me.  Alas, I read on and discovered that the video used zero New Moon clips in the video.  However, it’s good for a laugh.  Consider this a call of mercy for grocery carts everywhere…you’ll see why You can read the whole story HERE.

LOLOL See? It’s funny. I’m still sad they didn’t somehow fit Edward Cullen strutting towards us through the parking lot.  I mean, they WERE in a parking lot, they could have found a way!

Currently Hurricane Bells is across the globe finishing a two-week tour in India – sponsored by the Planetary Group, the American Center, and Rachel Tanzer – that began January 25^th at the Saarang Festival in Chennai. The tour took the band through Chennai, New Delhi, and Hyderabad, and will conclude February 7^th at the Kala Goda Festival in Mumbai. Photos and videos from the extraordinary trip can be seen on Hurricane Bells’ Facebook page.

Hurricane Bells is the new project from Steve Schiltz, singer and guitarist of Longwave. He wrote, played, recorded, and mixed the entirety of Tonight Is The Ghost – a moody, gorgeous mix of somber undercurrents and chiming guitars bathed in echo and reverb – himself using his MacBook and an Mbox. Originally planning on self-releasing the album, Schiltz’s then-completely unknown project quickly became part of the whirlwind Twilight pop culture phenomenon when “Monsters” was chosen for the The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack last fall.

Summit Entertainment has announced the date when fans will be able to get their hands on the second DVD in ‘The Twilight Saga.’

‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ will rise on DVD on March 20, 2010.

Bonus materials on the DVD will include commentary with director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert, a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary, and band rehearsal footage and music videos.

Srsly. I love this. There are no other words.  I was expecting to find this kind of laughable but whoever put this together did a really shocking job of dubbing in the New Moon trailer with scenes from Beauty and the Beast.  May I present Gaston as Edward, Belle as Bella and The Beast as Jacob.  Again, srsly.

Ontheflix.com has this fun interview with Rob.  It looks to be a red carpet interview conducted between three different interviewers.  He talks about being home in London, how strange it is to have fans now react to him there at home the same as they do all over the world and how once again, he felt more relaxed shooting New Moon because he felt it was Taylor’s movie.

The Franchise that won’t stop has found itself among the top ten movies once again!  New Moon has re-entered the top ten movies watched this weekend per pronetworks.org!  Per the blog:

On Monday, The Twilight Saga: New Moon took in an estimated $959K from 1,593 locations, for a per theater average of $602. This represents a drop of 15.3% from Sunday and the film has re-entered the top 10, moving back up from #11 to #9. This increases New Moon’s domestic total to an estimated $281.93M after 39 days in release. The current worldwide total is $663,436,961.

New Moon has had and continues to enjoy a good run!!  Is this possibly the reason Summit has not started releasing images, teasers, etc for Eclipse?  Are they afraid that New Moon will stop making money if everyone starts to go into a frenzy over Eclipse?  Possibly.  Although, with the great success of New Moon, many wonder when/if an official announcement will be made regarding Breaking Dawn.  We are all watching and waiting…as patiently as possible.
