In all of the articles I’ve seen for The Runaways, Joan Jett has had nothing but amazing things to say about Kristen.  The praise continues in this article from MTV UK where Joan talks about Kristen’s haircut and how she studied everything Joan did.

Joan Jett has heaped praise on young Twilight star Kristen Stewart- who portrays her in new film The Runaways.

The rocker told reporters: “It was amazing. It was surreal. The first time I met her, her hair was still long.

 

“Then after she finished New Moon, she got it cut and I saw her out in LA for some rehearsals and it was really incredible. We were both laughing a lot because it’s surreal.”

 

The Runaways recently premiered at Sundance film festival before opening at cinemas later in the year.

 

The movie has caused a stir because its shows Kristen (as Jett) kissing her band mate (Cherrie Currie)- who is played by teen star Dakota Fanning.

 

On the subject of Stewart’s performance Jett continued: “I thought she had a quiet intensity, The physical stuff … just the way we move in space. We shake our legs, our hands are all over. She just studied me, man.”

What are some of the most random questions you can come up with to ask Robert, Kristen and Taylor?  Want to know how often Rob shaves?  These are the kind of random facts you’re about to find out.  There’s a few questions and answers in there we’ve heard before…the rest, well, like I say, kind of random.  Sounds like they’re trying to determine whether Rob is really a vampire or a werewolf. hehe  Not to worry, we all know the truth.

Fantastic interviews with Rob, Taylor and Kristen.  It’s fun to see the difference between interviews done this year vs. interviews that they did last year when Twilight first came out.  It’s crazy how much more relaxed Rob and Kristen (in particular) seem in answering the questions.  Enjoy!

Thanks to TwiCrackAddict for these finds.  I found this interviewer really thoughtful…in that he asked really thought provoking questions.  Better than many I’ve seen!

Kristen thinks that Twilight fans will want to see “Welcome to the Rileys” purely to see “Bella Swan” as a stripper.  Would you go see it? 

After seeing Twilight, I decided to take a peak at “Adventureland” because Kristen was in it.  The language was strong and Kristen’s character is sleeping with a married man and it took everything I had to stomach the entire movie.  Not because I saw her as “Bella Swan” but because of the subject matter in general.  And I’ll never make the mistake again of going to see a movie just because one of my favorite actors is in it.

I’m sure there are many that would disagree with me because I’m a self-proclaimed prude.  Which begs the question, will you go see “Meet the Rileys”?  Ropeofsilicon has done a feature on this independent film starring James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart and Melissa Leo.

“It’s an independent movie that nobody would normally see,” Stewart said. “Now it’s like, ‘Oh, let’s go see Bella in this stripper movie – it’ll be crazy!’ Working with James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, who is just incredible, was the most fruitful life-changing experience on a movie that I’ve ever had.”

It makes sense Stewart would be nervous about taking on the role considering her superstar position right now thanks to the Twilight franchise and the recent success of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Commenting on the role and the film she said, “It was just the hardest subject matter I’ve ever had to deal with – I play a very broken young girl who is a runaway. She’s a street kid. She’s working in a strip club and James Gandolfini’s character is just as dead inside as she is – and they wake each other up.”

The film doesn’t have a distributor as of yet, but is in the Dramatic Competition at Sundance.

You know, it’s really ridiculous to have the New Moon men in one room at the same time.  So is the fact that audience questions are SO DUMB (save it one to Kristen about which book was her favoite) due to the fact that Rob and Edward are gracing the room together with Kristen and all of their minds went completely blank?  Did they just blurt out the first words that came to their mind once they were standing at the microphone?  Ugh…other than that…the interview is pure awesome.
