Chris Weitz will Not be Directing Breaking Dawn

I’m sad to report that Chris Weitz has made a decision and has shared it with the world.  I will admit that I think New Moon is beautifully directed and edited.  I think Chris Weitz would have been the perfect choice to direct Breaking Dawn.  He has the connection between the “Tri-fecta” down to a science and he has the experience needed for the special effects that are going to be required.  I know he isn’t the only one, but I’ll just say I’m feelin’ a little down about this news :(

E! Online reports:

Chriz Weitz may not be directing Breaking Dawn, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t think about it.

“Of course when I was making New Moon and it was doing well, it was natural to think about doing other films in the series. But I haven’t been pressured in any extreme way or anything,” Weitz tells us, adding, “I think it’s time for someone else to step up and do it, just because the third film was done by somebody else.”

That’s not all Weitz had to say. Read on to find out what he thinks about the Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart romance, splitting Breaking Dawn into two flicks and who he thinks should direct the rest of the series…

What do you think of Breaking Dawn being broken into two parts?
The book is very dense, so it’s appropriate that it’s broken into two parts. And I think that even though Twilight fans kind of want to have as much as they can at any one given time, I think they would be sad if it ended too abruptly.

What do you think of the idea of the violence and sex from the book being played out on screen?
A lot of it takes place offstage, offscreen, so I’m not sure if the sexuality presents a tremendous problem. The violence and the gore…I don’t think those are a particular problem either, because the MPA that sets the rating for it doesn’t have a huge problem with the violence for some odd reason.

Who do you think should direct the films?
I love Martin Scorsese, I love Wes Anderson, I love Michael Winterbottom. I’m not sure any of them would feel like this is their next best step, to direct a film in the Twilight series.

Is the obsession over Rob and Kristen’s possible romance ever going to end?
They’re both so appealing and attractive, and it’s very fun to think about them being together. But myself, I’ve always tried to maintain plausible deniability by knowing as little as humanly possibly as I could about what is happening, and I will continue to do so.

Do you have any advice for them?
The pressure they’re under and the amount of scrutiny they’re under is nothing that I’ve ever had to face. If I ever have that many people that interested in what I’m doing, I’ll call Rob and Kristen and ask them what I should do.

What are your thoughts and feelings?  Who would you like to see direct Breaking Dawn (and possibly Breaking Dawn 2)?

All of Rob’s Remember Me Interviews all in one Place!

Ok, I’ve posted one or two of Jimmy Fallon’s “Bothered” videos where he is portraying Rob in a tree being bothered about different things.  Rob appeared on Jimmy Fallon last night and showed some comedic talent by climbing into the tree with Jimmy…it’s seriously classic.  He was on Today and Access Hollywood yesterday as well as The View today…talking about his allergy to vaginas ROFL!  Enjoy the array of videos at your fingertips!

The first The View interview says part 3, but it is really part one, just after they were introduced and brought out on stage.

There really is such a big difference between the way he holds himself during an interview now vs. the interviews he did before Twilight.  I’ve really enjoyed watching him grow that way!  I still can’t get over him getting into that tree with Jimmy. Love.it.

In my meandering through Google this morning for anything Twilight-ish, I came across a short news article on (of all places) disneydreaming.com stating that Rob will appear on The View on March 2nd.  He’ll be stateside promoting Remember Me and will be speaking to the ladies about the movie.

Rob - Haiti Telethon

Actor Robert Pattinson will be appearing on ABC’s “The View” talk show for the first time on March 2, 2010.He will be appearing on the show to promote his new movie “Remember Me,” in which he acts alongside Emilie De Raven, who played the character Claire on ABC’s “LOST.”

In the movie “Remember Me,” Robert plays a troubled college student who becomes infatuated with Emilie’s character.

Who will be tuning in to watch Robert’s interview?

I know I will.  The View isn’t one of my favorite programs to watch, but I’ll watch it to catch another glimpse of Rob!

On a much lighter note, ThinkingofRob posted this adorable video of Anna Kendrick on Rachel Ray where in a game of “Would you Rather” Rob is being pitted against George Clooney.  I’ve said once and I’ll say it again; it’s ridiculous that this girl has had the opportunity to work with both of these men, and at the same time. just.ridiculous. But it makes for a lot of fun in her interviews! hehe

*sigh*

Ashley Greene has a Serious talk with Michael Sheen…not really

Michael Sheen had an occasion to interview Ashley Greene for Interview Magazine and their conversation is anything but serious.  Enjoy the talk and the pictures (seriously sexy Ashley).  Is it me or does that girl just get prettier and prettier?

MICHAEL SHEEN: Okay. This is my first question. This is the only really serious one, and then the rest are quite funny. The first one is: As an elf, raised by humans, have you found a lot of discrimination against the fairy folk here in Hollywood?

ASHLEY GREENE: Well, I think they’re just jealous that I sparkle and speak elfin and have cute little pointy ears.

SHEEN: It’s true.

GREENE: So, yes, there’s discrimination. But I really don’t care.

SHEEN: You do get described as pixie-like a lot. In my younger days, I used to get described as sort of elf-like. I think it’s probably a lot easier to deal with that if you’re a pretty girl, rather than a sort of average-looking boy.

GREENE: I’m sorry about your adolescence.

SHEEN: How did Twilight come about? Do you remember how it all went down?

GREENE: It was just another audition. My managers were like, “You’re going into a great casting office. They cast great projects. They’re sticklers. If you suck, they won’t call you back in.” So I was like, Okay, I’ll pay extra attention. Then I figured out there wasn’t a script or a breakdown, but there was a book. So I got the series and fell in love with it. Then that determination kicked in and I was like, Okay, I’m going to book this part is what’s going to happen. I worked my butt off for it.

SHEEN: Now there’s so much more to this whole Twilight thing than just the films, isn’t there? There’s everything that goes with it—it’s a huge sort of phenomenon. What’s it like being right at the epicenter of that whole thing?

GREENE: [sighs] It’s a really hard thing to wrap your head around. I was working at a restaurant, I booked the role in Twilight, put in my two weeks’ notice, got fitted, flew to Portland, filmed, and then it started getting hype. That helped me get my foot into certain doors before the movie even came out. I did fourindependent films during the break between Twilight [2008] and New Moon. I haven’t even really had time to sit back and process it all. But when you do finallysit back and think about it, it’s incredible.

She’s been on a short, but incredible journey when it comes to her acting.  Read the whole article HERE.  Both she and Sheen are very easy going and witty/playful with the interview!!

Ok…the headline is a little deceiving but what a fun story for her to get to tell Ellen!  Anna appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show and shared a fun story about filming Twilight and Up in the Air at the same time.

Is it just me or is it just a little ridiculous that a woman, any woman get to work with these two gentlemen in the same year let alone splitting her time???  what? jealous? me? what are you talking about?

Hometown interview for Robert Pattinson

Ontheflix.com has this fun interview with Rob.  It looks to be a red carpet interview conducted between three different interviewers.  He talks about being home in London, how strange it is to have fans now react to him there at home the same as they do all over the world and how once again, he felt more relaxed shooting New Moon because he felt it was Taylor’s movie.

Sit back and enjoy some buttery English verbage!

Ashley is looking gorgeous in purple and shares her own prom experiences in the pages of Teen Prom Magazine!

Ashley Greene on Prom Mag

“I bought my dress and I pretty much paid for everything because my parents really didn’t have the money to pay for something like that. I worked for it, so I think it meant that much more to me because I had to save up,” she tells Prom2010.

In the end, Ashley put together enough to buy a fitted full-length dress with bronze and gold sequins and a plunging neckline (her mom made her cover-up with a shawl). She has since donated the dress to the charity. “I had my prom dress forever until I became a part of the charity and donated it,” says Ashley. “It’s amazing to see girls’ faces light up [when given a dress]. It’s really fun because I get to interact with these girls and share the experience with them.”

As for her big night, Ashley says it turned out perfect. “I went with my high school sweetheart and had a blast. I had that fairytale prom everyone talks about. It’s something I’ll remember forever.”

A “Bliss”ful interview with Chaske Spencer

Bliss did a fun interview with Chaske Spencer.  He seems like a fun guy to talk to.  He says the werewolves are all “Terribly Vain” when they work out; constantly looking in the mirror to see what they needed to work on! Yum!  I do wonder what these interviewers are thinking sometimes lol.

Thanks to robpattinson for the video!

Robert, Kristen and Taylor answer some more questions

What are some of the most random questions you can come up with to ask Robert, Kristen and Taylor?  Want to know how often Rob shaves?  These are the kind of random facts you’re about to find out.  There’s a few questions and answers in there we’ve heard before…the rest, well, like I say, kind of random.  Sounds like they’re trying to determine whether Rob is really a vampire or a werewolf. hehe  Not to worry, we all know the truth.

Questions asked:

How many times a week do you shave ?

How many times a day do you watch yourself in the mirror?

In the sun, do you get tanned or burned?

Do you like singing under the moon?

With meat, wine or water?

Questions:

1.Do you think Edward is too prudish with Bella?

2. Do you think that a love story like that of Edward and Bella is possible?

3. What characteristics do you share with your character?

4. How do you feel about being a part of the twilight saga?

5. Which character would you like to play besides yours?

6. Are you scared of being only seen as Edward?

7. What is the most original/unique thing you have received from a fan?

8. Do you ever meet fans that are too passionate/agressive?

I found this over at TeamEdwardPOV! Thanks!!!
